Following ENTRUST’s participation at HIMSS25 Europe in Paris, we’re excited to share an interview with Thanos Arvanitidis, Innovation Project Manager at Future Needs and leader of the project’s Dissemination, Communication, Exploitation, and Impact Creation work package.
In this interview, Thanos provides a concise introduction to the ENTRUST project and its mission to strengthen the cybersecurity of Connected Medical Devices (CMDs) across Europe. He highlights the project’s key technological components and explains how ENTRUST is taking an open-source approach to maximise long-term impact and integration within the broader healthcare ecosystem.
The interview took place during HIMSS25 Europe - one of the world’s leading digital health events - where ENTRUST was showcased at the EU Projects Pavilion alongside other EU-funded initiatives. As part of the exhibition, Future Needs presented the Open-Source Development Roadmap created for ENTRUST, offering a clear strategy for ongoing innovation, community collaboration, and future adoption.
