Space Hellas plays a leading role in the ENTRUST project by overseeing the integration and validation of its trust management framework. The objective is to ensure that the various security and trust components developed by the project are brought together into a cohesive, testable, and fully functional system that meets the real-world demands of connected healthcare environments.
The main contribution centres on designing and implementing the project’s overall integration strategy. This involves combining advanced cybersecurity tools, such as authentication, authorisation, and trust assurance mechanisms, into a unified architecture. To support this, Space Hellas has developed a comprehensive integration plan that outlines how each module connects, interacts, and evolves within the broader framework. This plan is regularly refined to reflect technological progress and input from project partners.
To ensure effective collaboration, the project partner has adopted shared development platforms and tools that support version control, issue tracking, and collaborative coding. The integration process is built around iterative development cycles, which allow for continuous validation of technical progress. These cycles make it possible to identify issues early, adapt quickly, and maintain alignment across teams. This approach has proven especially effective in harmonizing efforts between technology developers and use case leads in healthcare.
Earlier this year, Space Hellas coordinated the release of the first integrated version of the ENTRUST framework. This milestone validated the successful combination of system components in realistic conditions and included evaluations of how the framework supports connected medical device environments. The integration also ensured compliance with emerging security standards and device protection profiles.
Currently, Space Hellas is preparing for the final integration phase. The team continues to coordinate the alignment of all technical components and ensure that system-wide testing aligns with healthcare deployment scenarios. This stage will culminate in the official release of the ENTRUST framework, tested and ready for real-world applications.
Through their leadership and expertise, Space Hellas is helping to ensure that ENTRUST delivers a secure, trustworthy, and privacy-respecting solution for the future of connected healthcare. Their commitment to excellence strengthens the foundation for innovation and safety across Europe’s digital health ecosystem.
