Co-creation workshop: connected medical devices

ree

On 27 June, Thanos Arvanitidis, Dissemination Leader at Future Needs, hosted a joint co-creation workshop bringing together two Horizon Europe projects: AI4LUNGS and ENTRUST. The session focused on advancing Connected Medical Devices (CMDs) through the V-model of systems engineering.

The workshop created a collaborative space for technical experts, clinicians, and researchers from both projects to exchange challenges, explore solutions, and align on best practices. Participants took part in an interactive simulation of the CMD development process, placing special emphasis on:

  • 🗣️ Early integration of end-user feedback

  • ⚖️ Ethical and legal considerations

  • 🔐 Cybersecurity-by-design

  • 🛠️ Realistic design, development, and verification steps
