On 13 June 2025, ENTRUST, represented by project partner Red Alert Labs, participated in the public workshop Innovative Solutions for Cyber Risk in Medical Devices, held at Le 253 in Paris, France. The event brought together experts in cyber risk management, cybersecurity, and healthcare to exchange knowledge, explore challenges, and discuss practical solutions based on real-world case studies.
The full-day workshop ran from 09:00 to 17:00 and featured interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities with key stakeholders.
Throughout the day, participants shared insights and experiences on three main themes. The workshop began with an exploration of the impact of cybersecurity on patient health, followed by an introduction to navigating the complex regulatory landscape with the Cyber Compass tool. A live demonstration of the Threat, Vulnerability, and Risk Analysis (TVRA) Toolkit showed how security risks in IoMT devices can be identified and mitigated, helping healthcare organisations prioritise security and make informed decisions.
ENTRUST contributed by presenting the end-to-end dynamic trust assessment flow, showcasing new features designed to verify that both simple and advanced devices remain trustworthy. These methods demonstrated how continuous evaluation helps ensure device security and reliability throughout their lifecycle.
The event concluded with a knowledge-exchange session, where stakeholders discussed challenges and potential solutions. The group reflected on key questions such as:
When does cybersecurity get in the way?
How can organisations decide on adequate, but not excessive, cybersecurity?
What are the main challenges within the regulatory landscape?
